PMS(Planned Maintenance System) Engineer

Job titles-PMS(Planned Maintenance System) Engineer.
Job summary-Responsible for delivering high Quality PMS data.
Education-Engineering degree preferably Marine Engineer.
Experience-Sailing experience preferred.
Proficiency in computers.
Authorities;
• The authority to correct the data that is captured by the team.
• The authority to share knowledge and implement instructions.
Responsibilities;
• Ensuring that all Customer requirements are met.
• Ensuring that the timelines are met.
• Ensuring Quality and relevance of data are maintained.
• Communication with Customer and Team.
• Travelling to the vessels to carry out asset Management for the Customer.
Duties’
• Listing of software and Customer requirements and clearly communicating the same to the team.
• Delegating tasks to the team and regular follow up of the same.
• Strict following of the PMS processes for Analysis, Components, Jobs and Spares.
• Regular resolution of doubts internally.
• Routine update of status of progress.
• Routine update and request of missing information from the Customer.
• Extensive Quality control of information being captured.
• Training of the new joiners.
• Training and refresher of existing team members.
• Ensuring the work done log is always updated.
Delegation of duties;
• All duties will be deleted to another PMS Engineer if available or to the PMS Specialist.
Skills;
• Understand the importance of tailoring communication styles to different audiences.
• Actively participates in team activities and willingly adapts to take on different roles when needed.
• Willingness to travel globally, adapting to diverse environments and schedules as needed to achieve
business objectives.
• Identify the key machinery systems on board the ship and understand their functions.
• Recognize the role of a computerized PMS in managing ship maintenance activities.
• Understand engineering principles can be applied in technical documentation.
• Understand the significance of precise details in context.
